In the fourth quarter of 2020, Europe saw significant activity in the fitness and weight loss app category on the Android platform. Sensor Tower provides a closer look at how the top five applications fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike experienced a notable surge in downloads, peaking at around 150K in the last week of December. The app maintained a steady increase in revenue, ending the quarter with approximately $184K. Weekly active users saw a similar upward trend, reaching over 2.2M by year's end.

Freeletics: Fitness Workouts showed a fluctuating pattern in downloads, with a significant jump to roughly 94K in the final week of December. Revenue witnessed a rise towards the end of the quarter, approximating $181K. The app's weekly active users grew steadily, concluding with over 580K.

YAZIO Food & Calorie Counter observed its highest downloads in the last week of December, reaching over 300K. Revenue peaked in the same period at about $252K. The app's weekly active users saw an increase, with nearly 1.9M users engaging with the app by the close of the quarter.

MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter downloads appeared to rise moderately, capping off at around 72K. Revenue for the app also increased, ending at approximately $91K. Weekly active users showed a positive trend, with a notable rise to over 740K by the end of December.

Fitbit saw a dramatic increase in downloads during the penultimate week of December, hitting over 284K. Revenue followed an upward trajectory, culminating at around $140K. The app's weekly active users experienced growth, with figures reaching over 2.4M at the end of the quarter.
